Job Description: The Mobile Applications Department at ConnectMe Group is developing mobile software solutions for a variety of institutions. The development of our mobile applications products is ongoing with a focus on adapting the core application to our clients’ needs, the development of new features and incorporating new peripherals.
Responsibilities and Duties: A successful applicant will: • Be responsible for the development and design of mobile applications. • Assist in the creation of an infrastructure that allows cross platform capabilities and highly customized consumer experiences. • Guide and assist in the implementation of the build process and other best practices for development. • Keep abreast of industry trends and technology, prototype new emergent technologies and be ready to apply them quickly.
A successful applicant will be/have: • Enrolled in the Computer Science, or Computer Engineering program; • Working knowledge of Objective-C and/or Java, specifically for iOS and/or Android platforms; • Understanding of Web Services and other networking technologies; • Background in database management; • A knowledge of encryption/ security practices and technologies an asset; • Able to work in a team and independently; • Ability to handle sharp deadlines and code efficiently; • Strong communication and documentation skills.
